Requirements Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing One to three years nursing experience preferred Currently SANC Registered Nurse License Computer skills Previous experience working in Plastic surgery Job Responsibilities: Utilizes skills of observation, interview, patient history, and physical assessment to collect data from the patient and/or others to identify variables affecting care. Conducts and documents data in patient charts. Forwards information to appropriate team members for proper follow-up. Assesses the education needs of the patient and provides patient and/or significant others with information about their condition and/or care as evidenced in the patient record. Accurately classifies and evaluates patient care based on assessment or observation and accurately documents findings in patient’s chart. Demonstrates flexibility to adapt to change. Exhibits qualities of dependability. Checks for proper department equipment and supplies and reorders/stocks according to department use. Comments constructively in peer evaluations. Maintains an organized work environment by being accountable for delegation and completion of tasks. Contributes to department cohesiveness and follows proper chain of command. Assists with training of new staff. Directs patient care, including but not limited to: dressing change, vision procedures, respiratory procedures, ear/hearing testing, urinary procedures, lab work, and cardiac procedures. Rooms patients. Assists with procedures and treatments. IV therapy, medication administration, medical documentation, phone triage. Patient referrals. Maintains confidentiality.
