Zantedeschia albomaculata Seeds   This lily is cream coloured and has a deep puple/black throat. DESCRIPTION These tender, herbaceous and aquatic, deciduous perennials are native to South Africa. They can be planted in a greenhouse that has a minimum temperature of 50 degrees or outside where climates are mild. They are mainly grown for their attractive, large flower spathes, which are usually produced in the spring and summer. Calla Lilies or Arum Lilies, as they are commonly known, are grown in large quantities by commercial growers because they are commonly used for decoration at Easter and throughout the spring and early summer months. Regular gardeners may have them bloom in winter, spring or early summer, depending on what temperatures are maintained in the greenhouse. The flower spathes of Z. aethiopica, the Calla Lily or Arum Lily, are white tinged with yellow with a yellow spadix and it produces glossy, arrow-shaped leaves. This variety grows 2 to 3 feet high. The spathes of the Yellow or Golden Callas, Z. Elliottiana, are yellow. Z. rehmannii, the Pink Calla or Pink Arum, produces lavender-red, rose-red, violet-red, or pink spathes and is a smaller plant (growing up to 16 inches) than the white or yellow flowered varieties. Its leaves are blotched with white or semitransparent spots. The Spotted Calla has white spots on its leaves and white spathes that are faintly purple towards the bases. The Black-throated Calla has greenish-yellow or pale yellow spathes with noticeable purple-black spots on the bases inside and green leaves spotted with white oblong splotches. Eulophia clavicornis Seeds Eulophia is a very large pantropical genus and is represented in southern Africa by 45 orchid species. The plants grow terrestrially in small to large colonies in grassland, marshes, savanna and scrub, and occasionally also in fynbos. With their open and often also fairly large flowers in brilliant colours, they resemble 'typical orchids' more than other indigenous South African orchids. Flowering occurs in spring or summer. Plants have underground corms or partly aerial pseudobulbs. Leaves, which may be absent or present at the flowering time, are either thin-tissued or leathery (sometimes even succulent). The erect inflorescences are always lateral and bear a number of medium-sized or large flowers. In most species these are resupinate (lip facing down). Sepals and petals are normally simple and always unspurred. The lip is most commonly three-lobed and usually has a basal sac or spur. On its upper surface it has various outgrowths like crests, papillae or lamellae, but a large lip appendage as in Pterygodium is not present. The column is stout to elongate and has a prominent undifferentiated column-part. Apically it bears the anther (pollen sac) which is positioned under a 'lid' called the anther cap. The stigma is situated in a cavity on the front side of the column below the anther. Growing orchids from seed is a fairly specialized undertaking and it requires a bit of understanding of tissue culture techniques. If you have never grown orchids from seed we recommend that before attempting this you should first contact your local Orchid Society, or purchase a book on the subject, or both! Eulophia clavicornis is a South African indigenous species from the Eastern Cape, Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West and Western Cape Provinces. It is synonymously known as Eulophia hians, Eulophia emarginata, Eulophia obcordata, Eulophia robusta, Eulophia violacea, Graphorchis clavicornis and Graphorchis emarginata. It grows from 15 cm to 90 cm tall. This summer rainfall species bears white, blue-purple or yellow flowers from spring to summer. This species is best sown in spring. On offer is a pack of 10+ Seeds

Prunus serrulata  Bonsai Seeds Prunus serrulata or Japanese Flowering Cherry is a species of cherry, native to Japan, Korea and China. It is a small deciduous tree with a short single trunk and dense crown reaching a height of about 4.5m to 7.5m. The leaves are arranged alternately, simple, ovate to lanceolate, 5 inches long with a short petiole and a serrate or doubly serrate margin. At the end of autumn, the green leaves turn yellow, red or crimson. The flowers are produced in racemose clusters of two to five together at nodes on short spurs in spring at the same time as the new leaves appear. Flowers come in single, semi-double or double form and may be fragrant or non-fragrant. The fruit is a globose black pea-sized drupe appearing in late summer. The Japanese Flowering Cherry Tree, which only blooms for a very short time in the spring, is sometimes called Sakura ("tree on which god sits") and symbolizes spring, life and beauty. The Japanese consider these trees very special. The cherry blossom came to Japan when a Japanese goddess named Konohanasakuyahime planted one atop Mt. Fuji. In 1912, Tokyo gave many such trees as a gift to the United States. We can find many of these trees around the Jefferson memorial in Washington D.C., where an annual Cherry Blossom Festival is held every year since 1935. After World War II, many of the trees in Japan began to die so we donated pieces of our trees to help save the population in Japan. The bid amount is for 1 Seed

Leucosidea sericea Seeds Common Names: Oldwood or Ouhout This is a small tree of great character which grows in the eastern parts of South Africa. It is a very versatile addition to the indigenous garden. Leucosidea sericea, commonly known as Oldwood or Ouhout, is a species of evergreen tree and large shrub native to the Afromontane regions of Southern Africa. It is the sole species in the genus Leucosidea. The generic name (Leucosidea) is derived from the Greek words for "white or grey appearance", while the species name (sericea) is the Latin for "silky" in reference to the silky hairs on the leaves of the tree. The ouhout is often a straggly shrub or a dense, small, evergreen tree, which grows up to 7m tall to 5m wide. It is single or multi-stemmed and branches low down. The bark is rough, reddish brown in colour and flakes off to reveal a smooth light brown under-bark. The leaves are alternately arranged, compound and covered with silky, silver hairs. Each leaf possesses 3 to 4 pairs of leaflets. The veins on the leaves are deeply sunken on the upper surface and protrude on the lower surface. The leaves are a dark green colour above and a lighter green colour below. The margins of the leaflets are deeply serrated. When the leaves are crushed they have a strong herb-like smell. The flowers are greenish-yellow in colour, star-shaped, and grow in spikes at the ends of young shoots in spring (August to September). The fruits are nut-like and about 3 mm in diameter (December to January). This tree is usually found growing in dense thickets at altitudes above metres. It can be found growing in open grassland, along river banks and on wooded, rocky ridges. It is usually found growing in damp conditions, on deep, sandy or clayey and often rocky soil. Leucosidea sericea occurs in the Eastern Cape, Lesotho, western KwaZulu-Natal, the eastern Free State, North West, Gauteng, Mpumalanga, and Limpopo provinces, Swaziland and Zimbabwe. The flowers and young shoots of this plant are browsed by cattle and goats in spring. It forms dense thickets on overgrazed, eroded or otherwise disturbed areas and can, therefore, become a problem plant on farm lands. The ouhout produces nectar which is probably utilised by bees and other insects. The wood makes good, durable fence posts in permanently wet soil even though it is soft. Apparentinous areas where the ouhout occurs near streams it is an indication that they are suitable for being stocked with trout. Zulu people use a paste made from the crushed leaves of Leucosidea sericea for treating ophthalmia (an eye ailment). The tree is used by the local people as a charm to protect the inhabitants of homesteads. The wood of this tree burns slowly and produces a lot of smoke like old and decaying wood. This together with the appearance of the flaky bark has given rise to the tree's common name of "oldwood". You're buying a pack of 20 Seeds We'll supply you with all the germination & care instructions.

Clarkia speciosa, sometimes known as redspot clarkia. Clarkia speciosa blooms late spring - early summer. Clarkia speciosa is a   perennial.  Clarkia is a plant that is named after William Clark of the Lewis and Clark expedition, because it was discovered growing in the western U.S. by members of the expedition. Features: The clarkia's flowers can be single or double and measure from 50 TO 100MM across, and the colors can range from deep rose to lilac, light pink to white. Clarkia can grow to a height of about 60cmt and a width of about 20cm. Environment: Clarkias need sandy soil and either full sun (6 hours of sunshine a day) or partial shade (4 to 6 hours of shade a day). They are native to the forests of the Northwest and do better in cool rather than hot areas. Planting: Clarkia seeds can be sown directly in the garden in early spring. When the seeds sprout, thin them out to one every 15 to 20cm. Flowers will appear in about 3 months. Care: Water enough to keep the soil moist, but not soggy until the flowers appear--then cut back on watering. When the plants are15cm  in height, pinch back the tops. This will make them branch out. In spring, Dame’s Rocket lights up the woodland edges with her blossoms, providing nectar for hummingbirds, moths and butterflies, and fragrance for the soul. The fragrance is as sweet as a violet's. The night-scented stock is a close relative. The plants typically produce only a low-lying rosette their first year, in subsequent years, Dame's Rocket shoots up quickly in spring and enters full bloom by early summer. They are excellent for naturalising on slopes and in woodland areas and will look good in a border especially in an informal cottage garden and they are very attractive to wildlife.
