This item includes free delivery within South Africa. The Palmer "E-FROG/CABINET SWITCH EXTENDER" expands the functions of the Palmer TRIlINE and may only be used in conjunction with it. Technically, it consists of two power relays and an 8 ohms lad impedance. The relay routes the inputs AMPlIFIER A/B either to the internal or to the output SPEAKER CABINET. Since the amp, which is liked to the dummy load, doesn't receive any input from the TRIlINE the internal load functions simply act as a guard against internal feedback, or it takes over an overhanging signal like reverb, etc. Consequently, the impedance only plays a secondary role, and speaker cabinets with 4, 8, or even 16 ohms may be used. Important is onlythat the output impedance of the amp is matched to the speaker cabinet.

About the Palmer PDI06l08 Power Attenuator Any guitarist who has tried to record or practice at home will have encountered noise issues, how do you get the power amp stage singing without complaints from your neighbors. This is where a power attenuator comes in, you can crank up your favorite valve amp and reduce the volume using an attenuator. We've been on the look out for a good attenuator since our previous favorite developed reliability issues and were happy to say we lOVE the Palmer The PDI06 is a power attenuator for live applications. The device is connected between the amplifier output and the speaker cabinet. It makes it possible to use the popular power stage distortion of tube amplifiers while reducing the associated high volume level. This permits practical volume reduction in six increments from 100% to 18% for stage and practice room situations. An additional setting mutes the speaker completely; the PDI06 then functions as a lOAD BOX and absorbs the entire output power of the amplifier. This mode of operation is useful, for example, when connecting an amplifier equipped with a speaker cabinet emulation directly to the mixing desk using an existing line-out and loud volume levels in the recording booth are undesirable. The unit has an input for the speaker signal from the amplifier and an outputs for connecting a speaker cabinet. The total impedance of the speakers must equal the value shown on the PDI06. For example: the outputs of a PDI06 that is specified for 8 ohms can be connected to one 8 ohm cabinet or two 16 ohm cabinets (the 16 ohm version has only one output). The output of the (tube) amplifier is also set to 8 ohms.

We've got the answer !! The Palmer Y-box's FET input circuitry adapts your guitar signal, driving a transformer which routes the ungrounded signal to the output. Ground hum is eliminated. 9V battery operation is recommended. The Y-box also serves as a line driver for long leads, and it allows for phase reversal of the AMP 2 output. This comes in handy when you're using two (pre-) amps.
