Our Rockwool Slabs are 1m x 200mm x 75mm and come packed with possibilities. You can start your plant in a rockwool cube and transplant it onto your rockwool slab or it can be cut to size for those DIY hydroponic enthusiasts. The rockwool slabs ensure an even distribution of nutrient through out the medium and the horizontal fibres allows you to be in control of the amount of water it holds onto.   Rockwool is manufactured by melting basaltic rock and spinning the molten mix into fibers which are then air cooled and compressed into the blocks we use today. Rockwool slabs can either be cut to size when making your own hydroponic system or they can be used to transplant your rockwool.
