Lifestyle Farm in Vleesbaai The property is 8.6 ha in extent.The location is ideal in that it is positioned directly opposite the access walkway to Snuifklip on the one side and the path and to Fonteintjies on the other. The beautiful beach is just down the road. The house was built north facing and amongst the indigenous bush to maximize the experience of cape coastal fynbos. Large milkwoods, kersiehout and olienhout are abundant. There are bushbuck, tortoise, partridge, owls etc. Pathways have been carefully cut by hand through the bush traversing the property for use by a 4 wheeler or for walks. It is a great way to access, cut, load and transport firewood. The access road to the house was laid by professional contractors and is suitable for all vehicles in all conditions. The house is open plan. The scullery, kitchen, lounge, dining area and the main bedroom (great size with en suite bathroom) plus a second bathroom are downstairs (ground level). The upstairs area is also open plan and at present there are 4 double beds which is great for kids and friends. There is also a toilet. All windows and doors are Oregon Pine. The floors, beams and rafters are also Oregon pine, salvaged from a house over 100 years old. The house has a wonderful ambiance and the large indoor fireplace completes the picture. Rain water is gathered into storage tanks and pumped up to the main tank which is then gravity fed to the house. There is a total of 20 000l, extra Water can be delivered by Mosselbay Municpality if required at a negligible amount of R400 per tanker load. Electricity is obtained directly from Eskom. A swimming pool enclosed in a wooden deck is located next to the large patio and is great for those hot days! The views over the ocean are amazing with the beaches from Boggomsbaai to Mosselbay Point in the distance. Fishing is superb in the area and there are also some good surf spots!
