        VINTAGE ENGLISH IOLITE, GARNET, DIAMOND GEMSTONE 9CT GOLD RING Gorgeous colours combine with this vintage piece. The main stone is an oval faceted, claw-set iolite gemstone. Iolite can vary from grey to blue but is most popular when it presents this particularly beautiful deep violet colour, not unlike tanzanite. There are 2 x trillion cut garnets, once on either side of the iolite, creating a beautiful berry line of colours. There are also 6 x round cut natural white diamonds, three on either side, channel set into the yellow gold shoulders leading up to the ring head.  There are no hallmarks so I can't tell you much about its provenance - to be safe I had the gold and the gemstones all checked and verified by a jeweller. However, I found it at a vintage jeweller in Birmingham, England in the famous Jewellery Quarter.  The front section of the 9ct yellow gold shank leading up to the bridge supporting the ring head is nice and solid but the shank is very slender at the back. Its  a big ring size (9).  Sellers Notes: Excellent condition Truly beautiful solid 9CT, 9K 375 yellow gold natural claw set diamond cluster ring with a white gold mount. A central raised diamond with further 14 diamonds surrounding it in an oblong shape. There are 0.25Ct of diamonds. Size N Ring weight 1.99 Grammes (Grosse). Fully Hallmarked. 375 for 9CT 9K Solid Gold. Assayed in Edinburgh. Makers mark is UT - also stamped in band with.25 for the 1/4 carat natural diamonds. This 9ct solid yellowgold ring is an absolute beauty. The 1/4 carat natural diamonds are all claw set on a 9ct  white gold mount in an unusual oblong shape.  It is in excellent condition with the shank being glossy and firm and no dents or obvious scratches. No misshapen bits,minimal use related to wear to the shank. The ring will come boxed in the boxed picture.
