PLANT OPERATIONS MANAGER IN CAPE TOWN
Leading food manufacturer is seeking a Plant OPS Manager to take full responsibility of one of their plants. Requirements: · Experience of FMCG manufacturing – preferably high volume food manufacturing · Knowledge of advanced food hygiene and Health and Safety requirements in food manufacturing and HR procedures. · A good understanding of quality assurance, procedures and protocols. · Understanding of industry and retailer audit requirements. · Knowledge of management techniques including KPIs, recruitment, selection and development of people. Some duties: · Ensure smooth running of entire plant · The Plant Operations Manager has full responsibility of the Receiving, Cold Store, Grinding, Blending, Forming, Packing, Despatch, Maintenance and Security · Ensure that adequate staffing is available to execute operational · Responsible for ensuring all KPI’s for respective areas are monitored and controlled · Daily equipment maintenance monitoring. · W eekly/ Daily compliance with Supply Planning requirements · Ensure product quality standards · Manage food safety/ hygiene standards · External and internal Customer interaction · Drive Efficiencies through LEAN principles. · Custodian of company assets Including stock, equipment and building.
