IMPLEMENTATION ENGINEER IN SOUTH AFRICA

Core function / purpose: To configure, install and train on paperfreeweb software components for clients as per the specifications, and to provide post implementation support Key result areas and objectives: 1.1 Implementation of client projects To understand client expectations, technical requirements and deliver solutions based on the end-to-end deliverable To read, understand and implement off a written specification document To perform system configuration and customisation as per the project implementation plan to ensure timeous delivery of tasks To test own work and supply ongoing reports on tasks successfully completed, as well as any challenges To assist the Tester in solution testing activities To provide support throughout the implementation process and go live dates 1.2 Post-implementation support¬¬¬¬ To liaise with our support and technical team to meet client needs To write and send correspondence and notifications to clients To provide written and verbal user support to clients and users during implementations To provide regular updates to the Implementations Manager on the progress of allocated tasks and any other reporting as directed To train users To provide technical support 1.3 Input into training and other documentation To review and advise on: User Guides Help files Training guides Release notes 1.4 Growth and development To maintain professional and technical knowledge by, for example, attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies 1.5 Team work To foster collaboration and good working relations within the paperfreeweb team To ensure positive contribution toward continuous improvement 2. Required level of education and experience 2.1 Educational background Some formal training/internship or 2 – 3 year experience in general web based IT systems 2.2 Previous experience Understanding and experience in support and customer interaction e.g. logging tickets, following up until complete, knowing when to escalate Javascript coding skills / experience Github experience (Source Control) Testing background (Desirable) Alfresco experience (Desirable) 2.3 Additional knowledge / skills Basic understanding of Development principles Very good written English communication skills Good verbal English communication skills Excellent attention to detail / meticulous and thorough XML Schema layout and workings Understanding differences between browsers, and compatibility thereof Document systems understanding Workflow understanding Solid experience in Word, Excel, Powerpoint Able to take ownership and operate alone at times Able to think laterally and solve problems (desirable) Self-driven to further his/her own knowledge Able to understand broad objectives and how smaller tasks fit into that picture 2.4 Other requirements Drivers’ licence Own car Willingness to travel on occasion
