HVAC OPERATOR IN SOUTH AFRICA

HVAC Operator PURPOSE OF JOB To service, maintain and repair air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (MAIN FUNCTIONS) The maintenance/servicing of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration equipment. Completing technical service records. Installations of minor works. DUTIES The maintenance/servicing of equipment Conduct checks and testing. Strip equipment (as required). Replace and/or repair parts as per stipulated contract. Re-assemble equipment. Test equipment after service. Liaising with clients regarding requirements, quality of work, and completion of work. • Complete documentation for client signature. • Record client requests. • Submit requests to Administrative offices. Completing technical service records • Ensure that all required technical documentation is available. • On or during completion, complete Log sheets. • Submit to Manager on completion. Installation of minor works • Installation of split units • Minor alterations to plant and equipment • Ducting changes RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY You are responsible to maintain high technical standards in the execution of your duties. You are responsible to conduct all tasks within the boundaries of the Company Technical Policy. You are responsible for adhering to legislative acts prescribed in your line of work, and specifically to the Occupational Health and Safety Act. MACHINERY, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT All hand tools, equipment and vehicles issued to you is your responsibility. Adhere to the company policy in this regard. MINIMUM REQUIREMENT Matric with Maths/Science Driver’s license 3-5 years servicing and repairing HVAC equipment inclusive of central plant HVAC. Ability to work independently Experience working according to SLA’s and contractual Terms of Service.
