GUEST FARM ASSISTANT MANAGER, MONTAGU IN SOUTH AFRICA

We are a small, busy guest farm near Montagu looking for a dynamic multi-tasker to join our team in a general management position.   The successful applicant will be hands on and able to hit the ground running, with a mature attitude, a team player, able to use their own initiative, bilingual with excellent skills in Afrikaans & English (reading, writing and verbal) and be creative with their solution finding. It is very important that the below requirements are met before you apply for this position. Successful applicants will be expected to undertake basic tasks during the interview to ensure that they possess the necessary requirements.   PERSON REQUIREMENTS   Non-smoker in good health, outgoing & presentable with excellent Customer Service skills Be able to work under pressure, be honest, loyal and trustworthy Be computer literate with excellent computer skills Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Nightsbridge BMS Be able to update & maintain company website and social networking infrastructure Enjoy the outdoors, rural living and have experience of farm animals Have a flexible approach to their work, particularly hours of work Possess hands on retail experience- stock control, inventorying, till operation, cashing up at end of day & record keeping Possess general building maintenance skills Be able to maintain equipment- lawnmowers etc. Have proven hands on experience in the tourism & hospitality industries   MAIN DUTIES (to include but not limited to)   Smooth operation of guest farm Overseeing a small team Monitoring welfare of farm animals and birds General maintenance Processing guest enquiries, inputting to Nightsbridge Greeting guests and ensuring high standards of Customer satisfaction are met Overseeing housekeeping of self catering cottages Running farm shop   If you meet the above requirements, please send your current CV with a recent photo, covering letter and contactable references.
