FIBRE OPTIC TECHNICIAN IN EAST LONDON

Duties and Responsibilities Installations, troubleshooting, and maintaining all fiber optic systems to ensure that they are working properly. Conducting regular inspections of the systems with the aim of locating and repairing any defects detected during the inspections. Determining solutions to any problems and issues that are preventing the fiber optic systems from performing optimally. Maintaining project and safety documentation. Ensuring all attended sites are clearly labelled. Locating faults and mobilizing resources within minimal time to counter fault. Formulate and maintain system records and system designs. Inspecting fiber routes and hub sites as preventative maintenance. Requirements Must have 3-5 years’ experience· Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level certificate advantageous Certified Fibre Optic Technician qualification Drivers Licence Experience in Fibre Optics and/or telecommunications is advantageous Computer literacy Must currently be based in Eastern cape. Ability to read, Comprehend and carry out instructions. Skills Knowledge of telecommunications Understanding of technical operating systems Ability to use your initiative Excellent attention to detail Excellent customer service skills Good mathematical abilities Logical thinking skills Interested candidates are required to forward CV’s to recruitment@fibreup.com.
