Purpose of the role Ensure effective adherence to internal and external timelines driven by documentation, status changes and payments changes within the debt review process. Responsible for enforcing the legal remedies in accordance with credit policies, procedures and process flows Ensure all performance targets set are met and or exceeded Manage Debt Counsellor and PDA portfolios for improved performance Requirements National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational) 1 - 2 years’ experience in a credit collections or banking environment Basic understanding of budgeting and accounting principles Knowledge of the following: Credit Risk Management Retail Credit Industry National Credit Act (NCA) Debt Counselling / mediation/ rehabilitation processes Debt Collection Deceased estates Sequestration Estates under administration Ombudsman cases Knowledge of the following would be ideal: Capitec Bank’s Credit Policy Capitec Bank’s Follow-up Policy, Capitec Bank’s Hand Over Policy Communication (verbal & written) skills in both English and Afrikaans Numerical skills Analytical skills (data analysis) Report writing skills Administrative skills Computer literacy (Intermediate Excel, Word, Office) Client Service Orientation Interpersonal skills Deadline driven (sense of urgency) Attention to detail (accuracy) Problem solving skills Emotional intelligence (resilience) Adaptable to change Able to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work in an open plan environment Willingness to travel Willing and able to work extra hours, outside normal business hours as and when required Valid code 08 driver’s license Clear criminal and credit record Closing date: 6 May 2016 If you think you have what it takes email your CV with the title of DEBT REVIEW AGENT to cliffordndlebe@capitecbank.co.za
