BELFAST/MACHADODORP: BOKMAKIERIE TROUT LODGE! IN SOUTH AFRICA

Bokmakierie Trout Lodge is a beautifully renovated and decorated farmstead on a cattle farm close to the N4 between Belfast and Machadodorp in Mpumalanga and offers six dams for trout fishing. The lodge sleeps 10 in 5 double bedrooms of which two are en-suite, a third bathroom, modern and fully equipped farm kitchen with built in braai, electrical and coal stove, microwave, freezer, fridge, washing machine, tumble drier and ironing facilities, dining area, lounge, sunroom, outside braai lapa overlooking a large dam and four garages. There is also a two-bed rondavel with own bathroom in the garden. The farm of 475 hectares offers informal hiking, excellent birding and small game such as Blesbuck (limited ethical hunting available). Two horses (one a trained pony)are available for horseback excursions. The lodge is halfway to the Kruger National Park and an ideal stopover RATES FROM 1 JANUARY : R280 per person/night. Children 12 and younger R140. Long weekends minumum rate R per night (first 8 persons) plus normal rate for 9th and 10th persons. rate: R250 per person per night. R125 per child under 12 per night. Trout: R60 per kg. Bokmakierie Lodge is fully equipped for self-catering with beautiful modern kitchen, 5 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, lounge and sunroom. There is a TV (DSTV), radio, heaters, fireplace, tumble drier, roof fan, braai facility overlooks a large dam with trout. The bedrooms comprises of 5 double bedrooms (2 ensuite and with double beds) and 3 bedrooms with 2 single beds each Fishing Bokmakierie Lodge offers six dams for trout fishing. The largest of the dams are close to the lodge -- only some 100 metres. The braai and socializing area overlooks the dam -- so mom can watch dad and the kids casting their lines.
