ANTIQUE DECORATIVE IRONSTONE CHINA PLATES IN SOUTH AFRICA

2 identical Ironstone China decorative plates. Excellent condition, unblemished and no chips. The plate above, measuring approximately 27cm in diameter and 3.5 cm high, shows the Coloured Willow or 'Chausan' design. This Chinese style pattern was produced with many variations by a number of potters. It can be linked to the famous 'Willow' pattern, also having two birds, Chinese buildings and a tree. Ashworth produced two variations of this pattern, the first being named B, the number can be seen painted in red on the reverse of the plate. Call Dave - /
