This coin came in a presentation case together with the Silver Proof Krugerrand (spacecraft privy mark) with a mintage limited to 500. A “Blue Label FIRST RELEASES” holder means that the coin was graded within a limited time window of 30 days after the coin was issued by the SA Mint. To receive this designation NGC charges an additional $10. The pedigree awarded on the first line of the label: “Silver Krugerrand 2R Set” means that this coin was received by NGC in the original 2-coin presentation case for the set exactly as issued by the SA Mint. This pedigree is valued by American collectors. It is rarely seen here because the set weighs over 500 gm; so shipping costs are onerous.
