He was also one of the founders of Agricultural Association. Two largest metallurgical works (now they are Public Corporation Alchevsk metallurgical complex and PC Mariupil metallurgical complex named after Illich) have been built on his initiative.On the coin obverse a steam locomotive is depicted (as a symbol of the progress of the end of 19th c.) against the background of conventionalized waste banks` contours, blast-furnace and open-hearth shop; there are also depicted: the small National Emblem of Ukraine (left), the circular inscription: ???????????? ???? ???????
