A Construction company based in Braamfontein has a vacancy for a highly experienced qualified Training and Development Manager. Minimum Educational Requirements: Tertiary qualification in education/training (Honours degree preferred) with an Education and Training Development Practitioners (ETDP) qualification ESSENTIAL Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years in a managerial position ESSENTIAL Proven track record in the implementation and co-ordination of training and development interventions. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible to plan, direct and coordinate the training and development of the organizations employees. Ensures the identification of relevant training interventions and programmes to address skills needs and gaps Monitoring and analysis of training results Assessing suitability of external courses Facilitate training Prepare teaching and facilitation materials Manage the skills development function Implement succession planning, in collaboration with the HR Manager and the relevant line managers Align the technical training strategy and plan to the broader Learning, HR and Organisational training Responsible for the timeous compilation and submission of the Company’s Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report Responsible for the submission of applications for funding / grants for development initiatives through SETAs Responsible for proper return on investment of all training initiatives. Development and maintenance of a training and development database Develops an annual budget forecast for the training and development department Responsible for the compilation, implementation and maintenance of a Diversity Management Strategy Responsible for complying with applicable legislation, policies, standards and laidiz down procedures.
