Playfully short yet hugely versatile, the huge stability coupled with incredibly responsive turning means that it does indeed kill it on the rivers, and it's a blast too for throwing around in the surf, especially now with the extra performance from the RSS system. Yet it's also perfectly capable of cruising and providing fun for all the family. It's just a fun fun toy! For all the Red Air team, this is the 'go-to' board. If we can only take one board, then we take the 9'6, because whatever conditions we encounter, we can make the most of... 10" - SURFER A narrower version of the 10'6, the 10 is the ideal all-rounder for lighter riders (75kg and under), as the reduced with makes it feels more lively and responsive. A smooth ride on flat water, but with the added stiffness of RSS it's great in the waves too, particularly for riders up to 85kg looking for that long-board style of performance. The Surfer has nice, smooth glide across the face and is fast to paddle back out between the sets. The RSS system consists of two lexan battens, which are slid into the batten pockets along each rail (side), adding significant extra stiffness through the middle of the board. You don't have to use them, the board works fine without them. But they do make a big difference to the rigidity and performance. *All the boards comes with paddle, pump, bag and leash.
