Software Engineer Department: Medical Radiation Minimum Requirements: · BSc Honours degree in Computer Science · Five years post-graduate experience in software development · Experience in developing low-level software to interface with hardware components · Proficiency in using the C/C++ programming languages · Experience in developing software for Linux or Unix platforms · Experience in the design and development of graphical user interfaces Skills & Attributes: · Working knowledge of network communication protocols · Experience or familiarity with real-time control systems · Positive and professional attitude · Analytical · Attention to detail · Good oral communication skills and good writing skills · Ability to work independently and also as part of a team · Ability to carry out a project to completion · Ability to grasp and understand the client’s needs and to translate it into formal specifications.
