SERVICE TECHNICIAN MEDICAL DEVICES IN SOUTH AFRICA

Global medical care provider in the healthcare industry requires the expertise of a Service Technician join their team in Johannesburg. Our client continuously improves the quality of life of patients by offering innovative products and treatment concepts of the highest quality. The overall purpose of this position is to: To apply aspects of the company’s strategic initiatives in the form of technical support as designed and directed by the Technical Support Division. To repair, service and maintain the complete range of equipment supplied by the company and any third party products for which the company is responsible. REQUIREMENTS: · Min National Diploma (NTC) N6 or Higher in Light Current Engineering including Electronics · Mechanical/Instrumentation experience is beneficial · Min 3 – 5 years experience in repair and maintenance of medical life supporting equipment · Fluent English · Valid drivers license · Willingness to travel locally and internationally · Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office · Comprehensive computer knowledge · Excellent knowledge of technical equipment · Proven skills in maintaining electronic devices · Sills in maintenance of hydraulic/pneumatic devices · Good administration skills RESPONSIBILITIES: · To plan each call in order to ensure prompt response on all call-outs. · Be available to perform service backup activity after hours. · Must ensure familiarities with all schematic diagrams, i.e. Wiring Diagrams, PCB and component diagrams for all equipment supplied by the company. · Fault find electromedical devices and repair PC Boards down to component level. · Must familiarise him/herself with the operator / technical manuals of all equipment he/she is responsible for. · Must ensure adequate stock holding of spares required to perform repairs.
