A construction company based in Mafikeng in the North-West province is looking to expand its operations and is thus inviting 15 suitable candidates to be trained in all aspects of general building construction. The training will span over a period of 25 days and it will be undertaken by a professional, experienced and *CETA-accredited training service provider. The chosen candidates will have to pay for the initial training which includes the following study units: ·         Set out, excavate, cast concrete strip foundations, build foundation walling and cast concrete slabs. (Theory and practicals). Cost: R (excl. VAT) at a cost of R per day (excl. VAT). Duration: 5 days.  ·         Build masonry superstructures using solid and hollow units. (Theory and practicals). Cost: R (excl. VAT) at a cost of R per day (excl. VAT). Duration: 20 days.  Total cost of the initial training: R per candidate (incl. VAT). Following the initial training, the candidates will be guaranteed a full-time job with the company and they will also be provided with more training (which will be paid for by the company) in future on different aspects of general building construction. Preference will be given to the following candidates: ·        Those with sober habits (i.e. non-drinkers and non-drug users). Drug tests  will be conducted during the selection phase. ·         Those with a valid South African ID and a valid Grade 12 certificate. ·         Those with NO criminal record. A background check will be conducted. ·         An added bonus will be those with some experience in the building construction industry. The chosen candidates will each be provided with a full set of personal protective equipment (PPE) which will include: ·         a protective helmet (hard hat) ·         safety goggles ·         a set of overalls ·         a pair of protective hand gloves ·         a pair of safety boots.
