The Workshop Manager / Mechanic will primarily be responsible for the management of the company’s workshop and the maintenance and servicing of the current fleet of trucks, Bell 225 loaders, LDV’s and other specialised forestry machinery. The Workshop Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance schedules, stock / spares, workshop staff supervision and basic admin. Applicants must have relevant mechanical experience with the ability to manage a busy workshop. A Trade Certificate will be an advantage. Managing project safety procedures and practices and develop all technical standards. Accountability for the comprehensive cost control and budgetary requirements. Management of equipment maintenance at the lowest possible cost without compromising quality and safety. Energy management across site and specifically management of identified Energy Leadership Projects. Developing coaching and/or mentoring future leaders within Engineering Services. Carrying the legal 2.13 responsibility for above areas. Implementing energy saving projects.  Intrinsic Qualities Administrative and engineering skills – attention to detail. Interpersonal skills – teamwork, integrity and tenacity. Excellent leadership qualities to provide direction, motivation and development of team members. Budgetary control.
