St. John Ambulance Cadets is a youth section of St John Ambulance for members aged between 10 and 17. It was founded in 1922, in order to train young people in first aid, and other essential skills. It has grown to be one of the biggest youth organisations in the United Kingdom, with over 20,000 members. Members take part in a very wide variety of activities, including providing first aid at major and community events, attending camps, completing awards, participating in competitions, learning leadership and training skills and fundraising. The Cadet programme, including the Grand Prior Award, development courses, supplies & branding, the Code of Chivalry & Cadet values, options for older Cadets and competitions is currently being completely reviewed by the charity's National Headquarters in London, working with Cadets, adult volunteers and St John Cymru-Wales to modernise, re-shape and improve the offer of the youth section of the charity overall. This programme has been worked on since 2017 and is due for launch in early 2020 as part of the Organisation's "Youth 2020" initiative. Condition: Good. Sold as seen in the images.
