I am looking for employment as  a Design Engineer or Design Draughtsman. I hold a B.Eng Degree in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering and have five years work experience mainly in the sheet metal and make to order environment using AutoCAD, Solidworks and ncCAD32. I am a Certified Solidworks Associate and am working towards the Certified Solidworks Engineer Certification which I hope to achieve within the next 12 months. My roles and responsibilities in my current position include the following: Provide mechanical design and development of new products for the expedition and camping market. Provide mechanical design and development of new products for the shopfitting and point of sale market. Perform in team environment project execution with engineers belonging to other disciplines and nationalities. Resolve problems and improve manufacturability and serviceability of products working with manufacturing and service personnel. Develop and recommend changes if any for manufacturing processes. Reduce product cost and improve design performance working with other groups on value engineering initiatives. Prepare engineering drawings using Solidworks (BOM, Weldments, Sheet Metal, Multibody Parts, Plastics, FEA, Animation e.t.c), AutoCAD and CNC Programming using ncCAD32. Am currently learning how to use Sigmanest. Product costing. Upgrade product and reduce service failures and cost consulting marketing personnel. Provide technical guidance to management if required. Identify and procure appropriate process equipment and tooling. Develop and maintain relations with individuals and business units within or outside our organization. Provide leadership and management to junior design engineers. Perform cost benefit analysis on small projects. Participate in continual improvement initiatives - 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kanban e.t.c.
