The position is available immediately and will initially comprise a 6-month fixed term contract. Operational & Marketing Assistant Position - Port Elizabeth. Male Candidates ONLY. Our company is seeking an Operational and Marketing Assistant to be based in Port Elizabeth. Preference will be given to those whom have general labour and marketing experience in the fuel industry. The position offers R12 000 (CTC) per month and will be reviewed after a 3 month probationary period. This position falls within the shipping and logistics field i.e. WE DO NOT KEEP 9-5 WORKING HOURS. Advise Operations Manager if equipment is damaged and requires repair and/or replacement. Advise Management team if/when repairs and/or services are required on vehicles. Conduct Monthly equipment and first aid inspections and send to the HSE Manager by email. Any other tasks as requested by the Management team. Marketing Functions: Maintaining relationships with existing international clients for their vessels that call RSA Ports. Maintain relationships with RSA agents. Planning of all waste, Lubricant and fuel discharges (delivery sites, transporters etc). Maintaining communication and relationships with relevant Port authorities. Generate leads that may result in land based or sea based fuel sales or discharges. Oversee all Waste Stream, Lubricant and Fuel Marketing within PE. Proven experience in marketing or similar role. Excellent knowledge of MS Office. Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. Creativity and commercial awareness.
