Reserve collection sauvignon

This 100% Sauvignon Blanc is made from grapes which originated from Tokara's Highlands farm in Elgin. The wine displays a beautiful pale straw colour with vibrant green on the rim The nose is pungent with intense aromas of nettles, cut grass and hint of granny smith apples The fruit intensity displays notes of passion fruit, green figs and even hints of cassis On the palate the wine enters with intense flavours reminiscent of the aromas on the nose The mid-palate is rich yet the wine finishes with intense freshness

The grapes used to create this unique Syrah originated from Tokara's premium vineyards on the slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain. This wine is beautifully balanced with a certain amount of restraint and has a real savoury nature to the palate. The nose is intensely perfumed with aromas of dark cherries, mulberries, hints of violets and white pepper spice It is full of flavours of forest berries and herbal spice The tannins are fine and firm with a lingering grip to the finish

The flavours of ripe papaya and pineapple fill the mouth while a vibrant mid-palate of lemon zest and marmalade leads to a fresh crisp finish. Limited Edition KWV Founders Reserve Brandy won a gold medal for its superior taste and quality at the 40th anniversary International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) in London in .
