Logistics Supervisor My client from a manufacturing concern is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to join their team based in Port Elizabeth. Responsibilities: • Manage the day to day logistic aspects of the Company’s material requirements. • Plan, manage and control the receiving, warehousing and distributing of all incoming, internal and outgoing materials • Responsible for running all aspects of the stores to deliver all stock/materials in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring demand is met and all procedures are followed. • Responsible for maintaining adequate stock levels for production demands. • Responsible for accuracy of all stock movements and correct recording of such. • Responsible for all administrative functions and liaison with production. • Improve operational efficiencies. • Initiate and implement projects relating to logistics. • Effective daily, weekly and monthly reporting on logistics function. • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices. • Responsible for Health and Safety in respect to material handling, storage, equipment, facilities and employees. • Control of staff – stores personnel and forklift drivers. • Communicate effectively with other workers to direct personal workflow. Requirements: • National Diploma in Logistics • SAPICS PPIM/CPIM qualification advantageous. • 6-8 years logistics experience in a manufacturing concern • 5 years supervisory experience • Minimum of 6 years ERP/MRP experience – BAAN advantageous. • Bar Coding experience.
