Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles (Dreamcast) (U) Platform: Sega Dreamcast Condition: Pre-Owned/Used in Very Good Condition This Title Also Available As: New: Brand New and Sealed games available Please get in touch for information on these options. Pre-owned games supplied with applicable serial keys. However - please note: Any single use keys or activation codes may have already been used/redeemed. Product Information Based on the Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace feature film Platform-style action game Choose between 5 Jedi knights and use the Force to take back the Theed Royal Palace Fight battle droids, destroyer droids, and assassins, including Sith warrior Darth Maul Each Jedi has his or her own strengths and weaknesses Product Description Review The battle pitting the noble Jedi Knights against the nasty Trade Federation continues in Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles in its triumphant form on the Dreamcast. For fans of extremely basic arcade beat 'em ups, this is quite possibly the most-improved translation of a bad PlayStation game ever made for the Dreamcast. Sabre-swinging action on a console has never looked better. Yes, the game has bright and shiny graphics that take advantage of the Dreamcast's extra processing muscle, but the game relies heavily on the basic walk-from-left-to-right-and-chop-the-baddies formula reminiscent of Double Dragon. Fortunately, LucasArts made quite a few wise tweaks for this new version. In addition to the original playable characters (Obi-Won Kenobi, Qui Gon Jinn and Mace Windu) the Dreamcast version adds the speedy Ki-Adi-Mundi. The Dreamcast version runs very quickly and smoothly (supposedly at 60 frames per second) no matter how much action is taking place on screen. New to this version are training levels for up-and-coming Jedi's and a cool mano-a-mano fighting mode (think Street Fighter with lightsabers) that's good for a few laughs. Without the Star Wars name, this game could have been considered rather ordinary. But Jedi Power Battles delivers the fun for all who ever wanted a chance to go toe-to-toe with Darth Maul and all of his friends from the Dark Side. Neither original nor deep in gameplay, Jedi Power Battles does show that the Force is still strong in the Dreamcast. -- Mark Brooks Manufacturer's Description Jedi Power Battles presents an escalating series of one- and two-player clashes between lightsaber and Force-wielding Jedi Knights and a fearsome onslaught of menacing opponents from the Sith and Trade Federation. Players choose from among five Jedi characters, and are immersed into a relentless barrage of clashes with the Sith and Trade Federation's most powerful droids, mercenaries and assassins, and ultimately, the dreaded Darth Maul. As they progress through the game's 10 action-packed levels, players are challenged to learn a variety of fighting moves to help them face off against each level's boss. As players hone their skills, the game's points-based reward system and power-ups will allow them to unlock new moves, strengthen Force powers and enhance health.

Midnight Club (PS2) Platform: PlayStation2 Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Description Midnight Club (PS2) Review The main premise of Midnight Club Street Racing is that you and your pals take to the streets each night to race hot rods around town. Along the way, you will terrorise those pedestrians who are crazy enough to be outdoors at night and generally crash into anything that's vertical. Of course, it goes without saying that you will then spend most of daytime hours pounding out the dents from the previous night's misadventures. Midnight Club Street Racing plays like a combination of the high-res street shenanigans of the Dreamcast's Tokyo Extreme Racing and the mission-based mayhem of the PS One's Driver. You've got two fantastic urban vistas to roam around--New York and London--and a jacked-up little runabout in which to do it. The game isn't just about racing, it's about racing from point to point or playing follow the leader. Graphically appealing (if more than a little flat, but that doesn't detract) and speedy, this may not tax the PlayStation2 hardware, but it may tax your skills as a gamer if you don't keep up. Maps to the city are available whenever you need them, so it's pretty difficult to get lost. It's advisable to try, however, as there are tons of mini-routes to traverse. No route is sacrosanct, since you can bash through plate glass windows, barrel through underground parking structures, meander across parks and even pogo from roof to roof. In this way, the game has a bit of that good 'ole Driver feel, though the night skies and sombre tone of the city dispel some of this the further in you play. Midnight Club Street Racing is a great game and yet another reason for new PlayStation2 owners to smile. While not terribly groundbreaking, this is one game that's loads of fun to play. -- Todd Mowatt

Speed Devils On Line Platform: Sega Dreamcast Condition: New This Title Also Available As: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition games available Please get in touch for information on these options. Product Description Review When Speed Devils was first released, it was met with a luke-warm reception. Building on that reception, Ubisoft have taken away the points and released Speed Devils Online Racing. A game that plays on the stronger elements of the first version, whilst adding online capabilities into the mix. With up to five players being able to compete online in any one race at any one time, is by no means that much of an improvement. its only one more that the console can offer after all, but it does mean that you can play against fellow gamers around the globe, which to most is an interesting prospect. No longer are you confined to playing the chaps down the street, now we are talking international warfare. And Warfare it is, for Speed Devils is all about driving fast, performing crazy challenges and at the end of the day winning hard currency. So with the chance to win your opponents car and the ability to create customisable players online, this is a game for the online gaming fan. If you're not to fussed about the online aspects, and let's face it, not all of us are, then sticking with the original is probably the best idea. --Stuart Miles Manufacturer's Description There's no limit to what you can win... or lose. Attention, sinners. The most infernal arcade racer ever now runs online. All the hellish tracks, tricked-out cars, and shady side bets from the original Speed Devils return.
