PRODUCTION LEADER IN SOUTH AFRICA

Purpose of Job: To manage network build processes and appointed contractors to ensure the effective and on-time execution of internally managed projects with the end result of successful handover to Build Dept and clients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •On-time kick-off of EXE files allocated by the Build Project Leader •Management and execution of allocated ISP and OSP EXE files in accordance to build policies and procedures •Contractor management process compliance to achieve on-time delivery of CACs •On-site management of 3rd party site supervisors during build phase •Management of materials availability and collections between supply chain and sites •On-time processing of administration requirements during the build phase e.g. attendance registers vs daily production, tool registers, equipment registers, material registers, etc •Compliance to permissions requirements e.g. wayleaves, ROUs and landlords •Supervising ISP and OSP projects during the build phase through daily site visits to ensure on-time completion •On-time collation and preparation of all sign-off documents and As-built files •Progress reporting as and when required •Escalation of problems and deviations from approved purchase orders •Quality assurance •Compliance to Health and Safety regulations, policies and procedures •Identification and management of risks Stakeholders Internal •Network Planners •Supply chain department •Project Leaders •Production Managers •Executive Operations External •Council Officials •Client Representatives •Contractors •Landlords •Community Education and/or Work Experience Requirements/Competencies: Education Matric Experience and knowledge Essential •Vehicle licence •years’ experience in network construction and contractor management •Intermediate capability in Microsoft excel •Computer literate •Knowledge of Local Authority regulations •Knowledge of the OHS Act Preferred •Knowledge of project management principles •SHEQ experience and qualification in a civils/construction environment Skills •Exceptional communication skills at all levels e.g. internal stakeholders, client representatives, landlords, local authority representatives, contractors and community members •Time Management Skills •Problem solving skills Competencies •Commercially and financially aware •Flexibility •Practically and administratively inclined •Attention to detail •Assertive •Behave Ethically: Understand ethical behaviour and business practices, and ensure that own behaviour and the behaviour of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the company. •Communicate Effectively: Speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques. •Creativity/Innovation: Develop new and unique ways to improve operations of the company and to create new opportunities. •Foster Teamwork: Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problem, and make decisions that enhance company effectiveness.
