Exploring the Bio-edge is a website promoting environmental awareness through original theorising across the biological spectrum. We seek to foster a spirit of enquiry and an appreciation of nature among those who read our diverse range of articles. We seek an undergraduate student studying towards a degree in natural or environmental science, to provide routine technical assistance on our website. Duties will include inter alia: i) uploading articles every two weeks; ii) sourcing appropriate scientific literature and photographs for articles; iii) proofreading; and iv) regularly updating social media platforms. The successful candidate will be able to conduct this job from their home/university. Candidates are encouraged to visit www.explorebioedge.com. Requirements: i) Acute attention to detail, precision, and accuracy; ii) Keen interest in natural history, biology and the environment; iii) Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English; iv) Computer literacy/proficiency; v) Access to a computer and reliable internet; vi) Good organisational and time-management skills; vii) Quick learning; viii) Experience in social media, particularly Facebook and Twitter; ix) Availability of ~ hours per week.
