NON FERROUS INTAKE MANAGER EPPING IN SOUTH AFRICA

The SA Metal Group is a large, privately-owned, metal-recycling company with headquarters in Cape Town and operations in Cape Town and Gauteng. The Group has a position for an educated, experienced, committed, hardworking and motivated Non-Ferrous Intake Manager to oversee and manage the Intake department. The successful applicant will report to a Divisional Director in Cape Town as well as the Production Manager. * Responsibilities will include, but is not limited to:* * Responsible for quality and grading of material according to set standards * Managing processes to ensure the efficient intake and movement of stock * Ensuring that despatched stock is done so within deadlines and follows procedure * Manage staff and time management to ensure tasks delegated are met within the time frames set out. * Ensure equipment & machinery checks are done and faults reported to maintenance department * Responsible for general housekeeping * Abide by the regulations as set out in Occupational Health & Safety Act and company policies *Applicants must have the following qualifying criteria:* * Matric with a minimum 5 years practical, hands-on experience in a production environment * Willing to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime * Able to work in a fast paced, physically demanding working environment. * Minimum 5 years’ experience working with Non-ferrous Material * Able to apply discipline and ensure operational procedures are followed. * Organizational and planning skills * Ability to effectively and efficiently utilize available resources * Sound decision-making skills * Being self motivated and take initiative when the need arises * Accuracy with figures * Computer Literacy viz.
