MEDICAL CREDIT CONTROLLER IN PANORAMA IN SOUTH AFRICA
Credit Controller in Panorama KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: EDUCATION: Grade 12. EXPERIENCE: 2 Years as Credit Controller preferably in medical environment. ESSENTIAL: - Bilingualism. - Credit Control experience in a medical environment. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: - Obtain payment of accounts within prescribed period. - Keeping outstanding debts and unpaid accounts to a minimum. - Carry out instructions by manager/supervisor. LIMITS OF AUTHORITY: - Need authorisation to write off uncollectable accounts and reduced accounts from Admin Manager/Supervisor. - Anything that falls outside the normal policy and procedure needs to be authorised by the direct Supervisor. CONTACTS INSIDE ORGANISATION: - All other admin staff. - Branch staff. OUTSIDE ORGANISATION: - Patients. - Medical Aids. - Attorneys – MVA cases. KEY RESULTS: - Liaise with Medical Aids and patients re outstanding payments. - File all documentation in the relevant files on a daily basis. - Hand over accounts from Promed to Legal department on a weekly basis. - Issue final notices when payments are not forthcoming within the specified time limits. - Keep daily reminder lists for phoning and working on. - Follow up action list. - Investigate and resolve queries from Medical Aids and patients. - Complete journals, adjustments and write-offs on a daily basis. - Follow up EDI Rejection list on a daily basis. - Complete any other duties as requested by the immediate supervisor.
