JUNIOR ENGIEERING TECHNICIAN IN SOUTH AFRICA

Junior Engineering Technician required in a design/drafting office in Amanzimtoti. The position is available immediately. An energetic person is required. A diploma in Mechanical/Civil engineering is required as minimum. Basic knowledge of SABS codes will be an advantage. Summary of Duties AutoCAD mechanical drafting AutoCAD structural drafting Site measurements Site Inspections Design calculations Main Duties Create solutions to complex technical problems in a variety of industries. Assist engineers as they create, modify, and test products and processes. Perform research and development during creation phase of product. Conduct tests and collect data.Assist in product design and development. Utilize computer-aided design and drafting equipment during design phase. Program and run computer simulations to test designs virtually. Estimate and specify materials to be used. Produce specifications and drawings that have to be centered on written instructions, calculations and equations provided by engineers and designers. Fine tune and modify plans to suit the needs of manufacturers.Draw diagrams and maps for projects and structure in construction. Create plans for foundations of structures along with layout of rooms inside buildings. Perform structural site inspections and measurements. Preform general site inspections as required.Perform calculations from relevant codes.
