IT TECHNICIAN NEEDED URGENTLY IN SOUTH AFRICA

IT Company in Rosebank requires IT Technician Minimum Requirements; Matric IT related diploma. 1-2 years experience in similar role as well as set up of CCTV and PBX Networking experience Own car and valid Drivers licence Duties - Identify, troubleshoot, research, support and resolve customer IT issues. - Escalate issues to appropriate technical personnel when necessary. - Provide full support for Microsoft products and the network environment. - Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires an evaluation of identifiable factors. Technical Skills Required: - Minimum of three years of technical support experience and superior customer service and communication skills. - A+, MCP or working equivalent. - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows 2000/XP desktop operating systems, Windows 2000/03 server platforms, network diagnostic tools, Microsoft Exchange 2000/03, Active Directory, DHCP and VPN troubleshooting. - Experience supporting laptops, PDAs and wireless devices. - Familiar with remote access tools and Remedy or other call tracking software. Personal Skills Required: - Must have excellent customer service skills in always putting the customer first. Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and directed fashion, and lead teams in such situations as needed. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must possess exceptional problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve project issues and challenges. - Strong attention to detail and deadline orientated. - Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. - Must be accustomed to working on various issues simultaneously and ensuring the integrity of each project.
