With a culture of open participation, all departments collaborate to ensure they always deliver the best results for their clients in the best work environment.   The Opportunity They have created a new position in the company and they are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to fill it, as well as to assist with the development of the role.   Your Key Responsibilities include: To work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements. To analyse existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities. To create and maintain the information architecture. To produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience. To write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides. To create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications.   To be Successful As an experienced Technical Writer with three years experience in a similar role and a Degree or diploma in IT related studies, typically you will have a fair understanding of IT and the underpinning technologies like:- Networking - the functions of routers and switches Servers - the interaction between hardware, the operating system and applications Protocols like TCP/IP, UDP and ICMP Programming   An understanding of IT Infrastructure Management will be advantageous as this is a core area the company specialises in. You will be extremely well versed in the English language, especially on the written side and will possess good communication skills, as you will interact a lot with the Services and Development teams. You will be very proficient with Microsoft Office products like Word, Excel and Powerpoint. You will also understand Wikis and know how to update blog entries in Wordpress. You will have a strong sense of perfection as technical docs must be very accurate or it can lead to huge losses. You will be able to work under pressure and have the ability to meet deadlines.
