Disease Management Counsellor Location: Sunninghill, Jhb Salary: Market related Medical Aid Administrator seeks the above resource to provide telephonic education, advice and support to contracted medical scheme/health plan beneficiaries with specific chronic illnesses enrolled on the various Disease Management programmes. Experience and Qualifications Required: · Registered or Enrolled Nurse/ Degree in Healthcare/Degree/Diploma in Psychology · Knowledge of Human Anatomy and Physiology · Experience and knowledge of chronic illnesses such as Asthma, COPD, Diabetes and Cardiovascular conditions a requirement. · Experience and knowledge of HIV/AIDS an advantage. · Experience and knowledge of counselling in the managed care area (advantageous). · Experience and knowledge of the medical schemes environment (advantageous). · Experience and knowledge of the medical schemes legislation particularly pertaining to PMBs and the CMS requirements an advantage · Knowledge of the management of waste and sharps material required. · All written and verbal communication must be conducted in a professional manner. Own transport essential and valid driver’s licence essential (Travelling may be required). Willing to work long hours when required is a requirement.
