DIGITALLY PAINTED PORTRAITS IN SOUTH AFRICA

What you get: A high resolution, digitally painted portrait of yourself/a loved one in a style as seen on the images above. Makes for a lovely gift if printed on canvas (due to the cost involved, I do not offer this service). Should you wish for a more original image and not simply a painted copy of your photo, let’s discuss what you want and I’ll get creative! Pricing: • Direct copy close-up head & shoulders, simple coloured background: R300 for 1 subject/person (additional R100 per person thereafter) • Direct-copy full-body portrait, simple coloured background: R450 for 1 subject/person (additional R150 per person thereafter) • Prices for original portrait requests (i.e. not a direct photo copy) are variable and I’ll be able to give you an idea of the price when you give me an idea of what your mind has envisioned:) How long does it take? Depending on how many orders I currently have and the complexity of the piece you are requesting, I would say minimum waiting time would be 3-7 days (this will be communicated to you, and I may even finish it in 1 evening!). How to order: Send me an e-mail explaining what you would like. Attach one or (preferably) several good-quality photos. I will assess the photos and choose the most optimal one. I do request a 50% deposit (via EFT) before I begin work on your portrait. Reason for this being: imagine spending countless hours perfecting an image for someone and then they decide they no longer wish to pay for it/you’re unable to reach them again. Once the portrait is complete, I will send you a watermarked low-resolution copy for your judgement. You may ask for adjustments/corrections. Once you are totally satisfied with the result, and upon receiving the remaining 50% of the payment (via EFT/bank transfer), I will send you the full-resolution file ready to print. Quick tips on choosing a good photo: 1. The reference photo should be of good quality and resolution. This decreases the risk that the final portrait doesn't resemble the subject well enough. 2. The lighting is very important, but not crucial. Photos taken in natural conditions without direct flash-light are preferred. Natural shadows on the face are much more pleasing and aesthetic. It helps in creating a more accurate representation of the subject's likeness on the portrait. 3. Try to choose pictures where people look at their best, although I can “beautify” a subject if asked to. Payment: • Bank transfer/EFT only • If for any reason I can't complete the commission, you will receive a FULL refund. I have the right to: • Refuse a commission based on personal reasons, difficulty level, or general rudeness • Not send the completed piece until I have been paid in full • Refuse refunds depending on how much of the piece is finished What do I not do? • Complex scenic backgrounds • Animals
