Welcome to DeWit Farmhouse, where you can sit back and relax while the cattle graze in the lush green field surrounding the unique farmhouse. Kick back and relax while your hosts, Andre and Estelle, make a complimentary potbrood for the night's braai and experience the wholesome lifestyle of authentic farm living only 1.5 hours’ from Johannesburg. The dream to have a farmhouse guest house became a reality in 2012, when Estelle opened DeWit Farmhouse. The farmhouse is situated on Dwarsfontein, where Andre and Estelle have been farming since 1998. This truly authentic farmhouse, with porch, fire pit, dams and borehole water, will take you back to the goodness and peace of true farm-style living. The farmhouse consists of four bedrooms with two double beds and four single beds, sleeping a total of eight guests. Additional sleeping arrangements can be made prior to arrival, if required. The farmhouse also consists of a fully equipped kitchen including cutlery, stove, fridge and microwave, two living rooms with built-in fireplaces, a porch and a boma-style braai area. A big heap of wood will be supplied at no cost and guests are welcome to make as big a bonfire as they like. Mountain biking and quad biking is allowed on the farm and the koppie behind the guest house; please bring your own bike or quad. Bass fishing is also available in the dam below the guest house. There is a hiking trail from the farm to the koppie and game viewing can be arranged on a neighbouring farm 30 km away or explore the Weltevreden Cave that is only 8 km from the guest house.
