CIVIL ENGINEER - MUST BE ECSA & SACPCMP REGISTERED IN EAST LONDON

CIVIL ENGINEER / EAST LONDON - The successful Candidate MUST be ECSA & SACPCMP registered.  Please include a copy of your ECSA & SACPCMP registration certificate together with your application.   Purpose of the Post:   To carry out Professional Project design work, as a Team Leader, Supervising and intervening in the production of document packages to ensure cost effectiveness and sound engineering solutions on multi-disciplinary projects Minimum Education and Training Bachelor's Degree/National Diploma (NQF level) in Civil Engineering Minimum 3 years experience Fluent in English and Xhosa Highly proficient in Microsoft Office packages PLS-CADD/Helios 3D/MicroStation V8/Recti Master V11/Power Office/ArcGIS/GIS will be advantageous Behavioural Competency Ability to work independetly and unsupervised Ability to work under pressure and multi-task Attention to detail Strong Organizational and accuracy skills Strong communication skills  Must be willing to travel out of town occasionally Scope of Work Management and leadership of technical/design teams Ensure meaningful contribution of design team to project planning, costing and project program schedule development and adherence Oversight of project budgeting and expenditure control Ensure quality and accuracy of design documentation, specification, construction drawings and bills of quantities Application of National Design standards, relevant engineering principles, theorem, formulae & software packages in resolving design challenges Leading technical discussion and providing guidance for technical development and training suggestions for technical staff Design of (but not limited) Electrical infrastructure, Progress meetings coordination and Computer Aided Drafting Site inspections/visitations, provision of regular feedback Project Management - Developing and executing schedules Documentation control: edits copy to ensure proper grammar, spelling, syntax and style Presentation of various project design, cost and time-frames to various clients and stakeholders Contribution to cost and technical aspects in preparation of tender documents Salary: R36 - R48k (depending on qualifications and experience) Ordinary hours of work - 08h00am - 17h00pm, plus any reasonable additional hours that are necessary to fulfil your duties.  Lunch - 12h00 to 12h45pm Application Process: Online applications will receive preference, please upload your ECSA Registration with your CV, alternatively e-mail CV and all relevant documentation to
