BRANDING/PRODUCTION MANAGER/COORDINATOR IN SOUTH AFRICA

Job Description: Branding/Production Manager (includes but are not limited to:) We are an in-house branding company – SPECIFICALLY for promotional products ie. Screen and pad printing, full color stickers/dome stickers, laser engraving etc. only persons with relevant knowledge of this need apply. We are specifically looking for a person with knowledge in time management, managing a team of printers and graphic designers. Knowledge of Corel Draw and AI will be an advantage. Key performance areas include the following; - Managing all of the company’s branding requirements, both internal (in-house printing) and external (jobs going to other branding suppliers) - Managing the work according to signed off artwork, specified size, location, pantone references and committed deadlines - Supervising the team that expose Plates/Screens - Supervise and managing the mixing of paints (no waste) - Supervising job set ups to ensure this is done within an acceptable timeframe - Maintain machines and all relevant instruments or tools - Match approved artwork with actual print and position on the product - Use of correct processes (different inks, curing etc) - Supervising staff packing and re-packing of orders timeously - Ensure inks etc are maintained (inks properly closed, no waste, etc) - Report any errors/mistakes/breakages of materials, stock, machines to your manager - Quality control of branding - Ensure equipment is cleaned and serviced on a regular basis - Keep up to date with any changes to processes and or technology - Redrawing of artwork - Layouts for printing purposes - Stock control – managing levels, waste and re-orders of stock - Design work for mass mailers - Any other design work for marketing campaigns, internal use, office stationery etc - Layouts and design of catalogues, custom covers etc - Scheduling and management of any overtime worked, temp staff needed, wages etc Behavioral Skills - Proactive Team player - Enjoy Challenges - Interpersonal Communication Skills (critical) - Excel in a pressured environment with high levels of Accuracy and Integrity (critical) -Ability to work with and lead the team within your department (critical) -Attention to detail (critical) Salary is marked-related based on experience – please send your detailed CV to jacques@macma.co.za – position is available immediately.
