80 LITER STAINLESS STEEL 12V CAMPING FRIDGE FREEZER IN SOUTH AFRICA

This is a 80 liter dual door Camping fridge.  Cosmetically it is good -  (still has plastic on which can be pealed off to reveal stainless steel body). SECOP (formarly DANFOSS) compressor The Left / Right split is about 45/35 liters It works off 12V DC / 24V DC / 120V AC - 240V AC (via supplied adaptor) Comes complete with accessories (cables & power supply & manual) & boxed safely for transport   The 2 compartments can be set to act as an Fridge & Freezer combo (or both Fridge, or both Freezer). However there is a minor restriction: While both sides can be set as Fridge or Freezer independently, when you have a combo (Fridge & Freezer) the Left Side must be the freezer (the colder side).  You can set it the other way round, but then your chosen "Fridge side" will continue to get colder to approach the Freezer temp setting, so in practice a Fridge / Freezer combo must always be the one way around.   Typical Temps I could get: Left/Right  Setting        What happens: +10/+10        +10/+10 +5/+5           +5/+5 0/0              0/0 -5/-5          -5/-5 -10/-10       -10/-10 -15/-15       -15/-15 -18/-18 (High Speed setting required to get to -18/-18)    (Fridge & Freezer combo:) Setting:        What happens: 0/+10            0/+10 -10/+10        -10/+10 -15/+10        -15/+10 -18/+10       -18/+9 As you can see there is some very slight "leakage of coldness" between the 2 compartments - i.e. if you set your Freezer side to -18 and the fridge side to +10, then you Fridge side goes colder than the setting.  However if you set the freezer a little hotter, e.g.-15, or the fridge side a little colder (+5 is more normal for a fridge)  then the Fridge side will be fine. These measurements taken without normal opening & closing & replacing cold beers with warm beers, so in practice it should do better than these measurements. FAQ: This fridge/freezer does not have any "brand".  It was a sample import. It is actually brand new apart from being tested for a few weeks. While it uses generic and easily obtainable parts, it does not come with a guarantee other than that it works as described here. (therefore it is listed as being second hand).  Using it properly however should give years of good service. No Collections.
